The round of 16 draw for the UEFA Champions League 2023-24 saw the multi-time champions Barcelona get Napoli in the marquee knockout clash, while Paris Saint-Germain are set to face a tough test against Real Sociedad. The proceedings of the draw were conducted at the main headquarters of UEFA, the European football body, in Lyon, Switzerland, on Monday, December 18.
Atletico Madrid, the two-time UCL finalists, are going to take on the multi-time champions and a resurgent Inter Milan in another mouthwatering round of 16 match. Meanwhile, the defending champions Manchester City are going to take on the Danish club Copenhagen, who disposed of their city rivals Manchester United in the group stages earlier.

Notably, Manchester City and Real Madrid were the only teams to win all their six matches in their respective groups to advance to the round of 16 stage in the UEFA Champions League 2023-24. Also, this is the last time the UCL will have 32 teams divided into eight groups because the tournament is set to feature 36 teams, who will participate in a single league competition as per the rankings next year.
