The Los Blancos have hosted Thomas Tuchel’s side for the first leg last week at Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano, where a 90-minute match was not quite enough to separate the two sides with the game equaling 1-1. It was Christian Pulisic away goal in the 14th minute, which gave The Blues an early advantage in the game against the injury-prone Zidane’s side, who were on the pitch without their captain Sergio Ramos. But courtesy to star striker Karim Benzema, who equalized 15 minutes later with a volley for the home side.
Madrid will look good in defense with the return of Sergio Ramos after a Calf-injury, while Raphael Varane will miss out leading to a thigh injury but Ferland Mendy will be available following a thigh problem of his own.
While for Tuchel’s Chelsea, some major changes can be seen. Antonio Rudiger is expected back after a facial injury against Fulham, N’Golo Kante and Jorginho will be recalled after being rested last week. Kai Havertz after his impressive brace last week is expected to start ahead of Timo Werner.
Chelsea (3-4-2-1): Mendy; Christensen, Silva, Rudiger; Azpilicueta; Kante, Jorginho, Alonso; Mount, Pulisic; Havertz
Real Madrid (4-3-3): Courtois; Odriozola, Militao, Ramos, Mendy; Casemiro, Kroos, Modric; Asensio, Benzema, Vinicius Jr.
