The highly-anticipated UFC middleweight title rematch between defending champion Alex Pereira and Nigerian fighter Israel Adesanya is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 9 at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, United States. This is the rematch of their previous bout, where Brazilian fighter defeated the six-time UFC middleweight champion, Adesanya in November last year.
While Adesanya, 33, has won 23 off 25 fights in the UFC with 15 knockouts, the 35-year-old Pereira has lost just one of his eight UFC fights, winning six by knockouts and one by decision. Adesanya has lost three straight fights against Pereira across two sports, including their kickboxing fights in 2016 and 2017, and UFC middleweight title bout.
