UFC President Dana White in a UFC 259 press conference hinted on Khabib Nurmagomedov's return to UFC. However, he said that we would engage in dinner with Khabib and the Russian team to take a call on his future. The longest-reigning UFC Lightweight champion has had the title since April 2018, and called it quits at UFC 254. He defeated Justin Gaethje 29-0 and hasn’t contested since that match.

Khabib’s return is well anticipated in the UFC arena and fans are eagerly waiting for an update. White, too wants the champion to stage a comeback, soon. Also, when asked for an update on the future of the Lightweight Championship, White really did not speak much.

“You don’t hear Khabib saying ‘leave me alone, stop asking me’ so, there’ still a chance. That’s the way I look at it. I think that a lot of these fights have to play out in that division, from 9, all the way op to number 1. They’re incredible fights. You can mix or match them any way you want, and they’re really good fights. Let some of these play out to see who will fight next for the title. And I think if Khabib is interested, he’ll take the fight.” Said Dana White.

Khabib, who is also known by the moniker “Eagle”, is also a two-time Combat Sambo World Champion. He is an absolute legend in the world of Mixed Martials Art (MMA) and his known for his signature style of “grappling”
