After India U19 clinched the U19 World Cup title for the record fifth time on Friday, the Indian national side started the ODI series against West Indies on Sunday in style. The ongoing 1st ODI between both teams is bringing all the joy for the cricket fans in the country. Rohit Sharma opted to bowl first and while the West Indies batting first had a troublesome start, due to India's super bowling display.

Mohammed Siraj proved his worth in the team and provided a much-needed breakthrough for his captain by dismissing West Indies opener Sai Hope (8 off 10) in the third over. Next was Washington Sundar, who provided two wickets in a quick session, reducing West Indies score to 45-3 in the 2nd ball of 12th over of the match.

Brandon King (13 off 26), who was hitting the ball well, was caught by Suryakumar Yadav at midwicket. Quickly, Sundar clinched yet another wicket by dismissing Darren Bravo leg before the wicket. But it was experienced Yuzevendra Chahal who stole the show in the 20th over of the match. He dismissed Pooran (18 off 25) and bowled skipper Kieron Pollard in two consecutive deliveries leaving West Indies struggling at 71-5 by the end of the 20th over.

Chahal didn't stop there, but in the 22nd over of the match, he sent Shamarh Brooks back to the pavilion as well. Brooks was caught behind the wicket by Rishabh Pant. Exceptional bowling from Chahal (4/49) put India in the driving seat, while Prasidh Krishna joined the party in no time as well. He dismissed Akeal Hosein by getting him caught behind the wicket. Rishabh Pant had a busy day in the match, assisting the skipper with a few successful DRS and even being handy with the gloves. However, India's exceptional bowling display impressed many cricket fans and provoked many of them to express the same on social media platforms.
