On June 12, 2019, Pakistan were up against Australia in an ICC Cricket World Cup match at the County Ground in Taunton. Although the match was clinched by Australia, with some even blaming the Men in Green's fielding for their defeat, it also gave birth to a now-famous meme, which has since then been shared millions and billions of times on the internet. In fact, it has become one of the most popular used templates of memes.

The famous "disappointed Pakistani cricket fan" was captured after Asif Ali, who was fielding in the deep, dropped an easy catch. As soon as the catch went to the ground, the camera turned to a Pakistan fan in the background, who stood there disappointed with his hands on his waist, his expressions saying it all. Within a few minutes from that incident, the image of the man in question became viral. His name is Muhammad Sarim Akhtar and he has now taken to social media that the meme based on his expression that day has featured in the Hong Kong Museum of memes.

He even shared a short Youtube clip on social media, featuring the Hong Kong Meme Museum and stated that all viewers will be able to catch a glimpse of his "disappointed" pose there.

Moreover, Sarim even posted a picture of the meme which has been displayed in the museum. It features Sarim in his famous pose with his hands on his waist and a disappointed expression.

"Disappointed Fan. The photo features a disappointing cricket fan, Muhammad Sarim Akhtar," reads the caption of the meme plate installed at the museum.

"I got featured in the Hong Kong Museum of memes. Yohoo," Sarim said in the caption of his post.

Talking about Pakistan's current form, former speedster Shoaib Akhtar said that although the team can beat any team in the world in the shortest format of the game, even backing them to win the T20 World Cup later this year, their cricket is not moving in the right direction. This is the reason, he added, that Pakistan seem to be struggling in Tests and ODI cricket.
