Team India recently played a three-match T20I series against Australia which they won 2-1. The Men in Blue made a comeback from being 0-1 down and won two games in a row to seal the series. There were plenty of good performances throughout the series. Suryakumar Yadav, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Rohit Sharma dished out some fine performances. However, India's vice-captain KL Rahul continued to struggle in this series as well.

Ever since Rahul has come back from a forced break, the batter has not looked in the best shape. His struggles were evident in the Asia Cup 2022 as well. However, the team management and Rahul's teammates have backed him throughout. Suryakumar Yadav had given a witty reply when he was asked if he would like to open the innings alongside Sharma as Rahul wasn't coming good.

Rahul himself said that he has received immense backing from everyone in the team. Being the vice-captain of the side, Rahul gets due respect from his mates. An example of this was seen when the team was lining up for the national anthem during Asia Cup clash against arch-rivals Pakistan. In a video going viral on social media, Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya are seen making space for Rahul to stand next to Rohit Sharma.

Rahul, the vice-captain of the team was supposed to stand next to captain Sharma but the batter stood far away from his designated place. Kohli realised this and stepped aside and made Pandya stand there, who then calls Rahul to stand next to Rohit.

Coming back to Rahul's form, the signs are ominous for the batter. After struggling at the Asia Cup and Australia series, Rahul fought hard to get bat to ball in the first T20I against South Africa. Although he scored a half-century, his issues were pretty evident. Had Suryakumar Yadav not counter-attacked, India might have ended on the wrong side.
