India took on Hong Kong in their second group stage game of the Asia Cup 2022. India were invited to bat first by Hong Kong captain Nizakat Khan. The Men in Blue started decently as they put on 44 runs in the first six overs at the expense of captain Rohit Sharma’s wicket. However, things slowed down a little bit as KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were trying to rebuild the innings.

Rahul was even seen struggling with his timing. Kohli, meanwhile, was slowly and steadily building his inning. The second blow came India’s way when leg spinner Mohammad Ghazanfar removed KL Rahul. With this wicket falling, out came Suryakumar Yadav and things changed drastically from thereon. Yadav started nailing his shots right from the first ball and it seemed he was batting on an entirely different wicket.

The swashbuckling batter left everyone awestruck with his range of shots and the timing he got on them. Yadav raced to his half-century in just 22 balls. In the last over of India’s innings, Yadav smashed 26 runs with the help of four sixes. The World No.2 batter finished the innings with an unbeaten 68 against his name which was scored off just 26 balls.

As Yadav was walking back to the pavilion, his partner at the other end, Virat Kohli was seen bowing down to the batter. Kohli was also seen asking “kya hai ye” to Yadav’s wife who was present in the stands. The pictures of the same went viral on social media. “virat saying "kya hai ye" to sky is all of us today,” wrote a user while sharing Kohli’s picture captured at that moment.

Notably, Yadav smashed six boundaries and as many sixes in his inning of 68. Meanwhile, Virat Kohli scored 59 runs off 44 balls.
