Virat Kohli might not chase milestones, but milestones surely chases him. The former Indian skipper once again achieved a milestone but this time off the field. Kohli on Tuesday became the first Indian to complete 200 million followers on Instagram.

Virat Kohli is the first ever cricketer to complete 200 million followers on Instagram and is third athlete in the world after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi to achieve this milestone.

After achieving special feat, the former RCB skipper took to Instagram to share a special message. Expressing gratitude, Virat Kohli thanked his fans and followers for their support. "200 mil strong Thanks for all your support insta fam," Kohli captioned his latest post.

Apart from Instagram, Virat Kohli has over 49 million followers on Facebook and over 48 million followers on Twitter. Earlier last year, Kohli had pipped Brazil superstar Neymar to become the third-most followed active athlete on the Facebook-owned platform.

Meanwhile, India are set to host South Africa for five T20Is, starting from June 9. Both Virat Kohli and Rohit are among the players who have been given rest after the conclusion of the IPL 2022.

In the absence of Rohit and Virat Kohli, KL Rahul has been given the responsibility to lead the young side. Rishabh Pant has been appointed as Rahul's deputy for the shortest format series against the Proteas.
