The match 24 of Indian Premier League 2023 played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings was an instant classic. But in the end, CSK held their nerve and were able to defeat RCB by 8 runs. Post match, Virat Kohli was seen hugging MS Dhoni at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

The RCB opener Kohli shared a pic of this special moment on his Instagram account and tagged the CSK captain Dhoni in a simple but telling post. He used a red and yellow emoji to signify their everlasting bond through the IPL teams and equated it with the Indian flag to remember the days when they both used to play together for the country.

Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni have been two of the stalwarts of Indian Cricket for the better part of the last twenty years. They have shared innumerable memories together both on and off the field while becoming friends for life. Their achievements for Team India is known to everyone, none more bigger than winning the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 side by side.

Coming back to the RCB vs CSK matchup on April 17, the visitors were put into bat and scored a mammoth total of 226/6 thanks to the brilliant fifties from Devon Conway and Shivam Dube. In the run chase, Royal Challengers Bangalore got ahead of the required run rate when Faf Du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell were on song with the bat. But when they both got out in quick succession, Chennai Super Kings made a comeback into the match and won it rather comfortably in the last over.
