Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli played a pivotal role in promoting a sport like cricket in the last decade with his consistent batting performances across all formats due to his sheer talent, passion and dedication. In a recent video released by BCCI in their social media post it was revealed that Virat Kohli shares a great camaraderie with the Tennis legend Novak Djokovic.
Virat Kohli told that "he got in touch with Novak Djokovic organically, while I was just looking at his Instagram profile once I pressed the message button and thought of saying him hello, but to my surprise I already saw a message from him on my DM already. The first time I saw my own messages, I observed that he messaged me himself but then I was like let's check whether it's fake account (or) not, and when I checked it was a legitimate account."
Virat Kohli after getting to know it was Djokovic's legitimate account, later they started talking and exchanging messages on regular basis every now and then. Kohli revealed that he congratulated Djokovic for all his fantastic achievements in the sport of tennis. Kohli also said that he has lot of respect on him for his journey as a player and also for his passion shown towards fitness.
Virat Kohli concluded by saying that "Novak I would like to wish you the very best for the Australian Open, since I know how excited and prepared you are for these big events and grand slams." Virat Kohli wished "Djokovic to have a great tournament and also said that Australia is lovely place to visit and play a tournament since they appreciate true sportsmanship and fierce comprtition".
