Aryaveer Kohli, who is the nephew of the Indian cricketing superstar Virat Kohli, is all set to make his debut into professional cricket as he has been picked in the Delhi Premier League (DPL). The 15-year-old has been picked by the team South Delhi Superstarz to feature in the second edition of the DPL. Aryaveer Kohli is the son of Virat Kohli’s elder brother Vikas Kohli. Aryaveer is a leg spinner unlike his great uncle Virat who started his cricketing journey as batsman and has now become one of the best if not the best in all formats of the game.
During an interview with PTI, Aryaveer Kohli’s coach for the upcoming campaign, Sarandeep Singh, who is also the coach of the South Delhi Superstarz in DPL, expressed his views on the emerging bowler. He stated that "There's no baggage of the surname on the young lad. He's a really good and talented kid. He's been practising and putting in the hard work." A video of his practice session has gone viral in the media in which the young boy showed focus and determination beyond his years.

Aryaveer Kohli set to make his mark by performing well in the Delhi Premier League: Reports
Aryaveer Kohli will be eager to make his mark in the Delhi Premier League as it is a good platform to make a name for himself. The last edition of the DPL saw some players like Priyansh Arya and Digvesh Rathi have a successful campaign, which helped them to earn a contract in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Both the players played a very good role for their respective teams and earned huge reputations all over India.
Also, Aryaveer will be teammates with Digvesh Rathi, who is the highest paid cricketer in the league earning INR 38 lakh. He must focus on his cricket and should not let the pressure of his ‘surname’ get to him. The young cricketer who is set to start a new chapter in his life will hope that he will be creating his own legacy just like his uncle Virat Kohli.
