India and Sri Lanka lock horns again today in the second ODI at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. In the first ODI, Sri Lanka won the toss and decided to bat first as they put 262 runs for the loss of nine wickets at the end of their fifty overs. Chasing 263, India did their job to perfection after Prithvi Shaw, debutants Ishan Kishan & Suryakumar Yadav and captain Shikhar Dhawan helped achieve the target inside 37 overs.

The second ODI is very important from Sri Lanka’s point of view as they need to win the game to stay alive in the series. Indian fans, including former cricketer Virender Sehwag, on the other hand, wanted to see India batting first in the second ODI. However, that wasn’t to be the case as Sri Lankan skipper Dasun Shanaka once again won the toss and decided that they will bat first. After this update, Sehwag put up a hilarious picture of the ‘Before and after’ toss on his Instagram account. The post is believed to say that all Indian fans were excited about the toss and hoped that Shikhar Dhawan and co. will win the toss and decide to bat first. But as Dhawan lost the toss and the hosts once again decided to bat first, the fans would prefer to sleep than watch the first innings of the game. Sehwag captioned the image as ‘Aaj ka haal’.

At the end of 35 overs, Sri Lanka are 171 for 4. Openers Avishka Fernando and Minod Bhanuka put up a strong 77-run stand for the first wicket before Yuzvendra Chahal picked two wickets in two balls to bring India back in the game. Fernando got dismissed after scoring 50 runs off 71 balls, while Dhananjaya de Silva got out on 32.
