Team India entered the Super Four stage in the Asia Cup 2022 after winning against Hong Kong on Wednesday at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. This was the seventh win for Rohit Sharma as a captain in seven Asia Cup games, however, former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has called him 'confused personality' over his remarks after the toss.

With the win against Hong Kong, Rohit Sharma is one win short to equal former skipper Virat Kohli in the list of most successful Indian skippers in the shortest format. Top-placed legendary captain MS Dhoni has led the Men in Blue in 72 T20I matches, winning 42 while Rohit has registered 31 wins in 37 games with a win percentage of 83.78.

Hong Kong won the toss and elected to field first on Wednesday. After losing the toss, Rohit stated that the pitch looks good for batting and even he would've opted to bowl first. In a response to the Indian skipper's remarks, former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez asserted that "he (Rohit) is a confused personality right now, and his actions do not reflect what he says."

"Rohit Sharma is talking about the way we are doing this for the team. But it doesn't really happen like that and not everyone can see it. In a way, he is saying that the pitch looks good, so we have to bat first. But he also says that he wanted to bowl. Was he afraid of losing the match against Hong Kong?," Hafeez said in an interview.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will face Hong Kong on September 2 as the winner will take on the group toppers India in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2022.
