Former Pakistan skipper and legendary cricketer Wasim Akram has announced the launch of his biography which is titled, ‘Sultan - A Memoir’. The book will be launched within the next few weeks and encompasses his twenty-year international career for Pakistan which was surrounded by drama and controversy.

The book is written by Wasim Akram along with a veteran cricket writer from Australia Gideon Haigh. He has also written other books like Mystery Spinner, The Cricket War, Stroke of Genius, On Warne, Shadows on the Pitch, etc. Akram made the announcement via Twitter and addressed that through this book, the audience will see the truth.

“Finally you will know the truth & my side of the story! Details and dates soon to follow, stay tuned ...#SultanWasimAkram #WasimAkramBook @HardieGrant”, read his tweet.

Talking about Wasim Akram, the left-arm fast bowler had some harsh words for the current Pakistan game as they were bundled out for 121 by Sri Lanka in the last Super Four stage match in the ongoing Asia Cup. Akram called the team’s suffering against pain.

"Below average batting," Wasim said while commentating on the game. "In general, the attitude was not there, they were not willing to take doubles by targeting the longer part of the ground, they only looked to clear the boundary against the spin," he added.

Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga was the X-factor in the game as he was one of the catalysts that caused the Pakistan middle-order collapse and helped his team to register a confidence-boosting win ahead of the most-anticipated final. The 25-year-old leg spinner picked up three crucial wickets and hit the winning runs in Sri Lanka's five-wicket victory.
