"Where talent meets opportunity" is the mantra of the Indian Premier League. Year after year, season after season, the tournament unearths some amazing talents. A few of them have even gone on to make it big in international cricket.

During IPL 2022, one such talent who has impressed one and all is Dewald Brevis. While he had already captured the attention of cricket fans around the world by his impressive stint at the U-19 World Cup earlier this year where he ended up as the leading run-getter of the season, he has played a couple of impressive innings already in this tournament.

On Wednesday during Mumbai Indians' outing against Punjab Kings, 18-year-old Brevis showed yet another glimpse of what could be in offer from him in times to come. The South African star smashed 28 runs off a single over from Rahul Chahar. He hit as many as four huge sixes off the leg-spinner.

One of his maximums travelled a distance of 112 metres- which is the longest six of IPL 2022 so far.

Have a look at the shot here:

After MI lost its openers early, Tilak Varma (36 off 20) along with Brevis (49 off 25) brought Mumbai's chase back on track with their counter-attacking punch. However, both departed in quick succession leaving the game in fine balance.
