On Sunday, February 2, Abhishek Sharma scored the second-fastest T20I hundred for India during the fifth and final match of the series against England at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. After going past the fifty in just 17 balls, the left-handed batter reached three-figures in just 37 balls, and he celebrated the moment in style with the captain Suryakumar Yadav alongside him at the other hand.
During his fiery innings, Abhishek Sharma spared neither the fast bowlers or the spinners from England cricket team, carting them all around the Wankhede Stadium, to the loud cheer from the Mumbai faithfuls. The youngster has created a great reputation for himself in demolishing bowling attacks at will in T20 cricket, and he is now doing it to some of the best opponents in international cricket, and England were at the receiving end tonight.
