In match two of ongoing Tamil Nadu Premier League 2023 between Salem Spartans and Chepauk Super Gillies, the Narayan Jagadeesan-led side started in style as the they won by 52 run-margin. The match saw a bizarre moment as the Spartans captain Abhishek Tanwar conceded 18 runs off his last ball in the inning.

After being invited to bowl first, the last over saw this hilarious incident. After balling four balls, he bowled a no-ball on his fifth delivery. Who would know what came next. On the sixth and final delivery of the over, Abhishek again bowled a no-ball as he was caught overstepping. He again bowled a no-ball and was smashed for a six and the run barrage continued from the Chepauk Super Gillies on the final delivery of their innings.

Talking of the match, after opting to bat first, Jagadeesan-led CSG put up 217 runs on board on the back of a 88-off 55 deliveries knock from opener Pradosh Paul. However, restricted bowling from the side later proved to be the plus point as they restricted the Spartans to 165/9 in the 20 overs to successfully defend the total.
