Barcelona midfield duo Pedri and Gavi are considered the successors of legendary midfielders Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez. While the young talents have impressed the football world with their amazing skills, they have also attracted many fans. Recently, Pedri was captured in a video where a female fan appeared to give him a secret note that left everyone guessing.

Earlier in September last year, Barcelona midfielder Gavi received a note from the fan, which many people stated as a phone number and now another Blaugrana midfielder appeared to be the fan favorite.

During Barca Players Award at the Spotify Camp Nou Auditorium on Monday, Pedri and Aitana Bonmati received the awards for talent and fair play in men's and women's football respectively.

Pedri receives a secret note

A video has gone viral on social media from the award ceremony, where a female fan secretly gave a note, which is expected to be a phone number, to Pedri as the 20-year-old quickly put it in his pocket.

As the video went viral, many fans drew comparison between Pedri and Gavi as the latter witnessed the same in September 2022 during his interaction with fans at the Camp Nou store.

During Barcelona's UEFA Europa League playoff 2-2 draw against Manchester United at the Cam Nou on Thursday night, Pedri suffered a hamstring injury and was ruled out of the clash in the first half. 

The Canarian midfielder said at the event, "it was a hard blow because I was in a great moment of form, but I'm recovering and I hope to be back soon to help the team."

Meanwhile, the Catalan giants defeated Cadiz 2-0 on Sunday at the Cam Nou in the La Liga 2022-23 to go eight points clear of the second-placed defending champions, Real Madrid. Barcelona are scheduled to face Man United at the Old Trafford in their UEL Playoff second-leg on Thursday night.
