The Rohit Sharma-led Team India did not have a great start to their inning as the top order failed to go big and departed with double digit scores. The in-form batter Cheteshwar Pujara also could not replicate his County Cricket century knocks as he failed to go past 15-run mark.
Later, it was Ajinkya Rahane and Ravindra Jadeja who stayed firm in the middle as they took the game forward. With Rahane looking in good touch in the middle, he was survived of a break as Cummins over-stepped the line with the umpires calling for a no-ball.
The sixth delivery of the 22nd over, where Rahane was given a life, he was left bruised as Cummins final ball of the over smashed his fingers, leaving the batter in pain. The physios walked in to check on Rahane, eventually putting a tape around it.
