Rohit Sharma-led Team India is taking on England in the fourth Test of the five-match series at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. While after winning two tosses on the trot, this time it was the England skipper who came out on top and invited India to field first.

This time the hosts called in for only one change in Akash Deep replacing Jasprit Bumrah in the XI, the debutant was awarded his well-deserved maiden wicket in the form of Zak Crawley in the opening hour of Day 1. Bowling his second over and the fourth of the inning, Akash Deep jumped in joy as he sent the off stump cart wheeling on the fifth delivery of the fourth over. But the on-field umpire was quick to signal for a no-ball with the siren also going off, cutting short the 27-year-old’s celebrations.

However, in his fifth over and the 10th over of IND vs ENG 4th Test, Akash Deep was awarded his maiden wicket in Ben Duckett. Soon after his wicket, the Bihar-born pacer pumped his chest with swelling pride to celebrate his maiden Test wicket. 

Speaking of the match, after 15 overs the England scorecard read 67/3 with Jonny Bairstow (7 off 13) and Joe Root (5 off 14) in the middle. Akash Deep has been the pick for the bowlers, bagging all three wickets so far in the game.
