After losing the away leg 1-0 against Al-Ain, Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al-Nassr came back in the second leg and defeated the UAE side 4-3, which led to the penalty shootout won by the visitors 3-1. After the Saudi Pro League club's exit from the AFC Champions League quarter-final, Cristiano Ronaldo was blasted by an Al-Nassr fan for missing an easy goal and demanded the Portuguese legend's exit.

After failing to score a single goal at the Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, Al-Nassr hosted Al-Ain for the second leg at the Al-Awwal Stadium and went on to win the fixture 4-3. However, the one-goal difference levelled both sides on the aggregate score, forcing a penalty.

Apart from Ronaldo, no Al-Nassr player could score the penalty as Al-Ain beat the hosts 3-1 on penalties. With this loss, Al-Nassr's AFC Champions League campaign ended while Al-Ain qualified for the semi-finals.

Al-Nassr fan slams Cristiano Ronaldo for horror miss

Ronaldo converted a penalty with two minutes remaining in the game to keep Al-Nassr in the competition. However, the Portuguese star earlier failed to score an easy goal just a few yards from the goalpost, which could help the  Knights of Najd win the game in regulation time.

In the  61st minute,  the five-time Ballon d'Or winner missed an absolute sitter, which led the fans to criticise him.

After the match, an Al-Nassr fan expressed his disappointment with the team and lashed out at Cristiano Ronaldo and company asking them to leave the club. The fan said in Arabic, which could be translated to, "All these big names: Telles, Ronaldo. He screams SIUU but during the game ghosts. We had 6 chances, who wasted? The best player in the world? he should be the first one out. Need new attackers and big players ready for the occasion"
