Deccan Gladiators are up against Morrisville Sam Army in the second qualifier of the Abu Dhabi T10 League at Sheikh Zayed Stadium. After beating Team Abu Dhabi in the 1st eliminator, the Nicholas Pooran-led side will look to continue their winning momentum in the ongoing clash.

Earlier in the day, Deccan Gladiators notched up a comfortable win over Team Abu Dhabi, courtesy of a blitz knocks from allrounder Odean Smith.  While chasing 98, Deccan Gladiators survived early tremors as David Wiese and Odean Smith played crucial innings in the middle to ensure the fourth win of the season for the Gladiators.

Chris Lynn-led Team Abu Dhabi had a horrific performance in the first inning as they could only post 89-8 in 10 overs. Meanwhile, an exciting picture involving Team Abu Dhabi skipper Chris Lynn has been going viral on social media, where the Australian batter can be seen going for a unique way to decide if he will take the strike.

According to the viral picture, Lynn and Alex Hales engaged in a 'Rock, paper, scissors" game to determine who would take strike in the first innings. The incident drew hilarious responses from cricket fans as several Twitter users showed their  humorous  side.

Speaking of the match, Team Abu Dhabi failed to put up an impressive batting performance on Saturday as they could not even past the 90-run mark. Chris Lynn (13 off 5), James Vince (21 off 15) and Adil Rashid (18 off 9) managed the side to post 89 on board.

Gladiators Sultan Ahmed, Zahir Khan, Joshua Little, and Tabraiz Shamsi bagged two wickets each. In response, Gladiators too had a disappointing start, but skipper Nicholas Pooran (14 off 5), David Wiese (13 off 9), and Odean Smith (32 off 15) ensured the last laugh for the side. With that win, Deccan Gladiators now have four wins in seven games, while Team Abu Dhabi has added a second defeat in the competition.
