Alfa Romeo F1 Team Stake presented their new car, C43, for the 2023 season at an event in Zurich. The driver duo of Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu pulled the covers off to unveil the new car. The new C43 has the classic Alfa Romeo red with black accents towards the side panels of the car.
The car leaves behind the old red and white colour scheme and also has the Italian flag on the rear spoiler representing Alfa Romeo’s rich Italian heritage. Prior to this event, Alfa Romeo also revealed an ‘Art Car’ which was created by BOOGIE, a German-born graffiti artist, designer and illustrator who lives in Switzerland.

The Alfa Romeo team saw some major changes in their leadership group as boss Fred Vasseur left the team to join Ferrari as their Team Principal. McLaren's Andreas Seidl meanwhile joined the Sauber Group as CEO and has been tasked to find a team boss to replace Vasseur. On the drivers’ side, Alfa Romeo will continue with the lineup from the previous season of Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu.
In the 2022 season, Alfa Romeo managed to finish P6 in the constructors' championship which may seem like a slight let-down after a promising start. The Bottas and Guanyu duo were regularly in the points in the first half of the season but could replicate these performances to finish off the season.
