Modern-day football often produces some audacious stuff on the field which can absolutely leave everyone in awe of the players. Bicycle kicks, Rabona, goal-line clearances and a lot of out-of-the-world moments of brilliance have become quite common in the sport nowadays. However, goals from one's own half are still one of the rarest things seen in football and one such moment of brilliance happened in the USL Championship.

Conor McGlynn scores a wonder goal

It was the 59th minute of the game with Hartford Athletic leading 4-0 against New York Red Bulls II. Despite the match done and dusted, the Athletic players were fighting it out for the ball in the centre of the field. As the ball seemed to land in the path of McGlynn, the 22-year-old midfielder came running towards the ball and produced a one-touch drive over the opposition's goalkeeper from inside his own half. Anthony Marcucci was caught by surprise, just like everyone on the field, as the goalkeeper's valiant effort was not enough as he saw the ball sailing over him and inside the goal.
