France and Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann picked Portugal great Cristiano Ronaldo's strength as one of the attributes while building the perfect forward in a recent interview. Griezmann, after a few disappointing seasons, had returned to being one of the best players in the world with the Los Colchoneros.

While speaking to ESPN UK, Antoine Griezmann was asked to build his perfect forward by taking various qualities from players across eras. When inquired about choosing the strength attribute, Griezmann named Cristiano Ronaldo as his player of choice.

Talking about the other traits, Griezmann picked England great David Beckham's passing, Spanish legend Sergio Busquets's intelligence, the work rate of his Atleti teammate Koke, France great Thiery Henry's speed, the technique of Lionel Messi from Argentina and the finishing of Italian Filippo Inzaghi.
Atleti planning contract extension for Griezmann: Cerezo
At 32, Griezmann is having one of his most prolific seasons yet with Atletico. After netting 31 goals in the league the previous season, he has already scored eight goals and provided one assist in 12 La Liga games in the 2023-24 calendar year.

Rewarding these great performances, the Atletico Madrid president confirmed that the club are looking to extend Antoine Griezmann’s contract despite reports about a possible transfer to Manchester United in the January window. Talking about the development, Atlético Madrid president Cerezo said: “We are in talks to extend the contract of Antoine Griezmann, we are very confident. Negotiations are well underway and advancing”.
