After producing a thriller in their first meet, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are locking horns for the second time in IPL 2022. And as expected the game already has produced some show-stopper moments in the first half of the first innings.

Shreyas Iyer opted to bowl first after winning the toss. And his bowlers did not disappoint the KKR captain as Umesh Yadav removed Devdutt Padikkal early in his second over. However, some sensible hitting from Jos Buttler and RR captain Sanju Samson helped RR recover to an extent.

But it was not easy for the batters to score runs as the KKR fielders were putting in some brave efforts in the field. The new inductee in the eleven, Anukul Roy, who is known for his athleticism did some brilliant work in the outfield in the eighth over of the RR innings. However, he became a victim of an 'oops' moment while trying to save a boundary.

On the last ball of the eighth over, Buttler played a fine paddle sweep and the ball was racing towards the boundary. But Roy put in a big dive and successfully stopped the ball from touching the ropes. However, he almost lost his trousers while sliding during his dive.

Debutant impresses!

Talking about Anukul Roy's performance in the game, the all-rounder made a handy contribution with the ball as he finished the innings with an impressive bowling figure of 4-0-28-1 in his first game for KKR. Roy got Karun Nair caught out in the deep midwicket region to claim his first wicket of IPL 2022.

He also opened the bowling attack for KKR from the other end with Umesh Yadav. Roy bowled tight lines and did not allow RR batters to score freely on a pitch that looked slow at first glance. Apart from contributing with the ball, the all-rounder also made a significant contribution on the field.
