Sabalenka might have fallen short in a three-set thriller in the ultimate clash for the US Open, but the 25-year-old has undeniably enjoyed one of the most outstanding seasons on the WTA Tour. Her first Grand Slam singles title came at the Australian Open 2023, followed by three singles titles overall, including her second victory at 1000 event in Madrid.

Sabalenka, who will end the season as World No. 1 in her post-match press conference also spoke it to be the only motivation after the loss. “It’s good that I can say I have been world no. 1, but I really would like to finish the year as World No. 1.
