After taking a 1-0 lead in the three-match Test series, Australia are currently squaring off against Pakistan in the second Test match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. On Day 3 of the 2nd Test between Australia and Pakistan, a rare incident captured everyone's attention as the match was paused during the hosts' second innings due to the third umpire getting stuck in the lift, which left David Warner and others in splits.

After restricting Pakistan to 264 runs in their first innings, the Aussies took a 54-run lead as skipper Pat Cummins picked up a five-for, while Nathan Lyon took four wickets. In the second innings, Australia opener Usman Khawaja lost his wicket on the second ball on a duck followed by Marnus Labuschagne's wicket in the third over as Shaheen Shah Afridi dismissed both the players.

During the fourth over, the match was paused as the third umpire, Richard Illingworth was stuck in the lift. The rare incident was captured on camera which left everyone in splits including the Aussie opener David Warner and the on-field umpires.

Warner bids farewell to MCG; gifts gloves to young fan

David Warner, who is playing his final Test series, has bid farewell to the MCG after getting bowled by Mir Hamza in the sixth over. While the Aussie opener walked back towards the tunnel, the MCG crowd applauded the 37-year-old batter. While leaving the pitch, Warner displayed a beautiful gesture as he gave his gloves to a young fan in the stands.

Talking about the game, Australia lost their fourth wicket on the next ball of Warner's dismissal as Travis Head went out for a golden duck. Pakistan dominated the hosts in the second innings by picking up four wickets at the score of 16 runs.

However, spectacular batting by all-rounder Mitchell Marsh and star batter Steven Smith helped the Aussies go past 150 runs at a loss of four wickets. Pakistan missed a chance to dismiss Marsh in the 16th over when he was batting at 20 as Abdullah Shafique dropped his catch in the slip.
