India made a remarkable comeback in the World Test Championship Final 2023 against Australia after the rivals posted a magnificent score of 327 runs on the opening day. Even after toiling hard, Rohit Sharma's boys didn't get enough rewards for their efforts and ended up picking only three wickets by the end of the opening day's play. However, on the second day, India bowlers sent four Aussie batters back to pavilion by conceding only 95 runs as the session approached its end.
While the players were 104 overs into the game, Indian bowlers sent Mitchell Starc back to the pavilion with a run-out on five. Axar Patel who came as a substitute of Mohammad Shami made a direct hit watching Starc just short at the non-striker’s end. Starc, who was looking for a quick single, perished to the excellent direct hit by Axar, and was forced to return to the pavilion after scoring 5 off 20 balls.
