Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday, November 29 unveiled Indian cricket team’s brand new ODI jersey. The jersey has been designed specially honouring the Indian tri-colour. However, India’s participation in the Champions Trophy 2025 currently stands in a limbo with the Pakistan Cricket Board adamant to host the tournament entirely in Pakistan, the International Cricket Council (ICC) has given an ultimatum to PCB to accept the hybrid model.
Ahead of this, the BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, in presence of India Women captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, unveiled the latest jersey. Speaking of the brand-new jersey, it boasts of a tri-colour gradient on the shoulders, while the remaining kit is in line to the previous one. The kit features traditional light blue colour, with two stars on the chest, signifying the two ODI World Cup wins which came in 1983 and 2011.

What has changed from the previous ODI kit that Team India wore in the ODI World Cup 2023?
Speaking of the changes from the previous ODI jersey which the Men in Blue wore in the marquee tournament in 2023 in India, the current one has gradient of the Indian tri-colour while the three stripes are back to white. Moreover, the stars continue to be two for their previous two ODI World Cup triumphs, which were changed from three to two ahead of the ODI World Cup 2023.
With Harmanpreet Kaur available for the unveiling of the ODI jersey, the Women in Blue will be the first one to wear this kit as they take on West Indies in a six-match white-ball series, starting December 15. Moreover, the current ODI jersey will be don for the last time during their tour of Australia, which is set to commence on December 5 in Brisbane.
On the other hand, the Rohit Sharma-led Team India will don this kit as they talk on England in three-match ODI series from February 6 in Nagpur.
