The ongoing UAE Friendship Cup 2022 has produced some fantastic moments for everyone to cherish, in first two days of the tournament in Sharjah. After Imran Nazir had a heartwarming celebration with Bollywood Kings' Sohail Khan on Saturday, the cricket lovers got to see another beautiful moment of spirit of cricket on Sunday.

During Match 3 between India Legends and Bollywood Kings, Mohammad Azharuddin's side were batting first. It was the last ball of first innings and Shabbir Ahluwalia's delivery struck the pads of Azhar, as he ran for a quick single. The bowler returned the ball quickly to wicketkeeper Saqib Saleem, who had a chance to inflict an easy run-out.

Incredible moment of sportsmanship in Sharjah

However, keeping the spirit of friendship and respect, Saleem refused to run Ajay Sharma out, who had put up a brilliant effort to complete the run despite being 57 years old. Presumably, the young actor wanted to respect the attempt made by former Indian cricketer which is why he let him complete the run, winning the hearts of everyone watching the game.

The incident was followed by Ajay Sharma acknowledging the gesture by Saqib Saleem, as players walked off the field. Bollywood Kings' players congratulated Mohammad Azharuddin (31* off 28) who helped his side to a total of 83/2 in 10 overs.

Unfortunately for Saleem, the actor who played the role of Mohinder Amarnath in movie '83', he was dismissed on 3 during the run-chase. Although Bollywood Kings showed immense grit with the bat, they unfortunately fell short of the target by 2 runs in a thrilling contest in Sharjah.
