Over the years, batsmen have found ways to get out in weird ways. Yet the game keeps on surprising the viewers which is why it remains such a followed sport around the world. On Sunday, in the ongoing second ODI between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh at Harare, fans witnessed yet another bizarre way of getting out and it was none other than the home team captain Brendon Taylor. While Taylor looked set for a big score and was batting on 46, his departure was a massive setback not only since it was a big wicket but also in the manner in which it came.

In the second ball of the 25th over being bowled by Bangladesh's Shoriful Islam, Taylor looked to play a ramp kind of a shot but made no connection with the bat whatsoever. However, there was some confusion for viewers watching it live on television as the umpires seemed to be checking something.

And then, to the horrors of Zimbabwe fans, it was confirmed that Taylor had in fact got out hit wicket. After missing out on the shot, the 35-year-old veteran cricketer played a shadow practice shot and swung his bat, not realising that his batlift in fact dislodged the bails behind him. The video of the dismissal has gone viral on internet.

Bangladesh are already 1-0 up in the three-match series after winning the series opener comfortably by 155 runs. While the Bangla tigers batted first to score 276/9, they later managed to dismiss the hosts for a meagre 121. The star performers for Bangladesh were opener Liton Das, who scored a wonderful hundred, and Shakib Al Hasan, who completed yet another five-wicket haul (5/30) and surpassed Mashrafe Mortaza, in the process, to become the highest wicket-taker for Bangladesh in ODIs.

Meanwhile, Taylor also expressed his gratitude after playing his 200th match for the national team in the first ODI. He became the fifth Zimbabwean to play 200 ODI games but being such an experienced campaigner wouldn't be too pleased with the manner of his dismissal in his 201st ODI outing.
