Kane Williamson is struggling big time with his batting form. The SRH skipper has just not been able to score runs in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is not just getting out but also putting pressure on the batsman at the other end by playing dot deliveries. This poor run for the SRH skipper is attracting quite a few raised eyebrows.
With SRH playing a crucial game against Sunrisers Hyderabad, to keep themselves alive in the race to the Playoff, Williamson was expected to come good. But the same old story continued for the Kiwi batter as he got dismissed after scoring only 9 runs. Williamson played a lot of dot balls and then tried to be cheeky against Andre Russell as he played a scoop-ish kind of shot.
However, Williamson completely missed the line of the delivery and saw his off-stump going for a toss. While KKR were pumped to get Williamson early, the batter walked back with a dejected face. And almost the same sort of emotions was seen on the face of Brian Lara. The SRH batting coach was seen facepalming and shaking his head after Williamson got out.

Williamson averaging below 20
The numbers also don't speak in Williamson's favor as the batter has aggregated only 208 runs in 12 matches so far with an average below 20. He has hit only one half-century (57 against Gujarat Titans) in IPL 2022. Williamson's strike rate is also below 100. With the SRH skipper struggling big time while batting at the top of the order, fans are left puzzled about the management's decision to continue with him as one of the openers.
