After Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Enock Mwepu has been forced to retirement following a hereditary heart condition, the Premier League club and its players have honoured the 24-year-old Zambian with a heartfelt felt message on their warmup shirts for the match against Brentford.

Although Brentford won 2-0 at the Gletch Community Stadium on Friday night, but Brighton won hearts with their wholehearted gesture towards their retired midfielder.

Brighton took to their official Twitter handle to post a video of its players sporting the warmup jersey having Enock Mwepu's name and number on the back and a message for the Zambian international on the front that read, "Chambishi to the Premier League. Your dream came true. We are all with you."

Brighton captioned, "Out to get warm in our shirts for Enock."

Before his retirement, Mwepu played for Zambian professional football team and Austrian club Red Bull Salzburg in 2017 before moving to England in 2021. Enock played 27 games for Brighton and scored three goals including strikes against Liverpool and Arsenal at the Anfield and the Emirates Stadium respectively.

Talking about the game between Brentford and Brighton, forward Ivan Toney scored two goals in each half, which include a back heel goal in the 27th minute and a 64' penalty, to help his team dominate the visitors by 2-0. Brighton are currently on seventh place and will host Nottingham Forest at the Falmer Stadium on Tuesday night.
