In a video from the T-Mobile Arena from Friday, Caleb Plant was seen getting into a physical altercation with Jamal Charlo at the Errol Spence vs Terence Crawford ceremonial weigh-ins. The former IBF super middleweight champion Plant is seen smacking Charlo, who is a WBC middleweight champion, in the face and nearly starting an all out fight backstage.

It is not known exactly what caused the altercation between the two fighters, but tensions were clearly high enough as Caleb Plant was upset enough with Charlo to throw fists. No sooner had Plant landed the strike on Charlo, a security guard almost wrestled the fighter away to prevent a full fight breaking out. Charlo looked relatively calm compared to Plant, who was screaming that Charlo should never grab his face again, indicating that the two had a physical altercation backstage that wasn’t filmed.

Plant screamed, “Don’t you ever grab me by my motherf*cking face again like that, boy.”

Conor McGregor reacts to inci dent on Twitter

MMA star Conor McGregor took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the issue. The Notorious was unhappy with Charlo not escalating the situation and getting a hit or two back on Plant. According to Conor, the fight should have been settled there and in the moment.

In a now deleted tweet, he wrote, “Get right back here this second Sir, you’re going nowhere till we settle this dispute here and now. Wtf is going on there? Clean cracked and lets him walk out? No. Nope. Nah. Not a f***in’ hope”.
