In the crucial Group F fixture between Canada and Croatia, Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davis gave the Maple leafs a 1-0 by scoring the fastest goal of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. The 22-year-old managed to behind the back of the net in a space of just two minutes.

Tajon Buchanan dribbled the ball on the right flank and spotted Davis open in the box and sent out an incredible cross towards the goal.  Here, the Bayern Munich man timed his header to perfection and scored Canada's first goal in World Cup history.

This headed finish also helped the 22-year-old redeem himself as he missed a penalty against Belgium in the previous game which the Canadian team lost 1-0.
