England all-rounder Charlie Dean has learnt a quick lesson from her dismissal during the third ODI between India and England as she tried to emulate the same in a domestic match. Notably, the all-rounder was run out by Deepti Sharma when she tried to gain an advantage by backing up too far from the crease at the non-striker’s end. As that dismissal decided the fate of the game in India’s favour, Dean was left in tears and it seems that has left quite an impression on the cricketer.

Dean, who plays for Hampshire in domestic cricket tried to emulate the same mode of dismissal against Linsey Smith when the latter tried to back up too far. However, it seemed Dean was trying to warn the batter as she did not whip off the bails. But only she would know if she had an intention to run out the batter was it just a warning because had Dean whipped off the bails, the batter would have been adjudged not out as she was within the crease unlike Dean the other day.

Nevertheless, everybody had a good laugh about the incident as Charlie Dean pulled out of her delivery stride the first ball, and went as if to run out Linsey Smith at the non-striker's end. There was a ripple of laughter and applause around Lord’s. Alex Heartley shared the video of the incident with laughing emojis.

Notably, the dismissal that saw Dean walking back to the pavilion in the third ODI between India and England Women caused a lot of stirs. People came with their set of opinions. While some reckoned the bowler was well within her right to run the batter out , some were unhappy about it saying it was against the spirit of the game.
