The WWE fans across the globe were treated on Monday as their favourite Cody faced Kevin Owens after the Monday night Raw went off the air with a dark match. Cody won the game in about 6 minutes while Kevin taunted Cody with the Young Bucks pose. Rhodes defeated Owens, pinning him following the crossroads. After the match, Cody thanked the crowd for letting him back into their house.
After six long years, Cody Rhodes finally returned to the WWE ring with a new character and new charisma. Post-match, Cody said he loved pro-wrestling and was a pro-wrestling fan with all of his heart. However, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Ownes hugged each other and shook hands before the match as a token of respect for each other.
The game lasted for a couple of minutes, but it treated wrestling fans with a lot of entertainment. Kevin Owens mocked Rhodes with the Young Buck's signature during the match. Both men got involved in the dark game with consecutive hits. The game also saw the involvement of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's mother from the ringside. She held Kevin Owens, aiding Rhodes to deliver hard hits to Owens. Initially, she also appeared at WrestleMania 38 to witness the Showcase of Immortals.
At last, the American Nightmare produced a strong promo mentioning many WWE Legends like Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Triple H and many more. During the promo, he said how his legendary father, Dusty Rhodes, failed to win the WWE title, but he will soon fulfil his dream of becoming the champion.
Although there are no speculations about his next opponent, he made his intentions clear to the WWE fans for chasing the gold until he achieves it. The American Nightmare is ready for his next opponent and is prepared to pursue the gold.
