The summit clash of the T20 World Cup 2022 is underway at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. Jos Buttler once again called it right at the toss and invited Pakistan to bat first. The Men in Green lost Mohammed Rizwan early as the Pakistan wicketkeeper chopped a wide delivery from Sam Curran onto his stumps. Mohammad Haris could not counterattack as he fell to Adil Rashid.

Babar Azam and Shan Masood stitched a partnership and it seemed Pakistan will set up a nice fighting total. However, Rashid was at it yet again as he bamboozled Babar and sent him packing. Wickets kept falling after that for Pakistan and England got better and better in the death overs. However, there was a slight fumble from them as well.

In the 18th over of Pakistan innings, Chris Jordan missed two run-out chances while Harry Brook dropped a catch while fielding at point. On the fourth ball of the 18th over, Muhammad Wasim played a cut shot that flew to Brook but the England fielder could not hold on to the catch. However, Brook made a good recovery as he quickly threw the ball to Jordan who had a chance to run Wasim out.

However, Jordan could not hit the stumps and then he also conceded an overthrow. In fact, the bowler missed another chance as he could not collect a throw from Ben Stokes.
