While it was a day for glory, ecstasy and enjoyment for the club, there was a controversial incident that happened inside the Leicester City's dressing room which has become the talking point right now.

What is the controversy all about?

After lifting the trophy and collecting the medals, Leicester City's players and staff made their way inside the changing rooms. Some of the players were live from the social media handles and the fans were able to watch the exclusive footage of the Foxes' celebrations. However, Ghanian footballer Daniel Amartey went a step too far in enjoyment as he threw the Chelsea flag (also known as pennant) on the ground and laughed, which sparked the controversy.

Was Daniel Amartey's act disrespectful?

The pennants are the heart and soul of any club and are often used to represent the identity of a club. Before a match, the captains swap the flags of both the clubs as a mark of respect, which also become a memorabilia for the clubs involved. The club flag means a lot to the players and fans and throwing it away like that is actually extremely disrespectful.

The act certainly did not go down well with the football fans, especially Chelsea supporters, as they expressed their anger on Twitter. While some people wanted the Blues to take it as the motivation to beat Leicester when they meet in another crucial match in Premier League on Tuesday, the others demanded an apology from Amartey for his shameful act.
