“Delhi Capitals' Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly worked with Sarfaraz Khan really closely during DC's camp in Kolkata ahead of #IPL2023. Yash Dhull among others were also present,” tweeted a user while sharing a few clips.
Notably, Sarfaraz Khan has been making the headlines for his consistent performances in India’s elite domestic tournament, Ranji Trophy. But despite those consistent performances, the young Mumbai batter could not find a spot in India’s Test squad for the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy and hence was left disheartened. However, it seems the batter has left all those disappointments behind as he eyes a strong performance in IPL 2023.
With Rishabh Pant not around, Sarfaraz is being seen as one of the wicketkeeping choices for DC in IPL 2023. Even if Khan does not keep wickets for his franchise, he is expected to make the cut in the playing XI, especially in the middle order. Sarfaraz has not converted his prolific numbers in red-ball cricket into T20s and hence is desperate make an impact this time around.
