Eddie Hall , the former “World’s Strongest Man,” won his debut fight in MMA, beating up two men in a handicap match on Friday, June 7. The British combat sports athlete, who weighed-in at a whopping 366 pounds for his MMA debut, took on the Jamil and Jamel, the Neffati Brothers, both less than half his weight, collectively came in at 291 pounds.
In the build-up to the 2-on-1 handicap match inside the octagon, Eddie Hall talked about how he had trained quite hard for it before vowing to knock out both the brothers one after another. On the other side, the Nefatti Brothers were in disbelief that Eddie Hall took the match against them while stating that he will throw in the towel in 45 seconds.
The debut fight in MMA for Eddie Hall had a slow beginning, and there was a comic feel to it in the initial stages with the Neffati Brothers trying to evade their opponents. After no punches were landed in the first two rounds, Jamil and Jamel went for the double single-leg takedown in the third, but to no avail.
After Eddie Hall got hold of both the brothers, he managed to powerbomb one before knocking him out cold, which led to the referee calling for the stoppage.
Moments after the 2-on-1 handicap match was over, one of the Neffati Brothers reflected on the knockout and remarked, “It must have been a good punch as I cannot remember anything. People were shouting at me from the crowd and I shouted back you come and f****** him, see if you can do it.”
