England women's cricket team won the three-match T20I series against South Africa women's cricket team on Monday as Sophie Ecclestone displayed an all-round performance to beat South Africa by 38 runs in the third and the final T20I.

Batting first, England set a target of 176 runs with the help of the final over bashing by all-rounder Ecclestone, who scored 26 runs against South Africa's Masabata Klaas in her last over. The England all-rounder scored 33 runs off 12 ball with two sixes and four boundaries.

In the last over of England innings, Sophie scored two fours in a row on the first two deliveries then took a couple of runs before smashing two sixes and a four on the last three deliveries. Ecclestone also took two wickets in her four overs by giving just 24 runs.

With the win, England women registered a clean sweep in the three-match ODI series against the Proteas women.

England women's cricket team will begin their Commonwealth Games 2022 campaign against Sri Lanka on July 30. England are placed in Group B that also features Sri Lanka, South Africa, and New Zealand.
