The Scottish Premiership may have given us the Puskas award winner for the 2022-23 season courtesy of Stephen Humphrys’ worldie from the halfway line. This stunning goal was scored in the game between Heart of Midlothian and Dundee United, where the Englishman launched the ball from nearly the middle of the pitch and deposited it in the back of the net.

Humphrys came into the game as a half-time sub and picked the ball up on the edge of his own box. As he carried the ball up the field, he saw the stranded Dundee goalkeeper Mark Birighitti, who was off his line and pinged it towards the goal. The ball swirled in the air before landing in the left bottom corner as the Hearts registered a 3-1 win.
