After two not-so-high-scoring contests in the UAE leg of IPL 2021 so far, fans finally got to experience some exciting T20 action on Tuesday with Rajasthan Royals producing a brilliant batting performance against Punjab Kings in Dubai. It was a good batting wicket but one just cannot take anything away from the RR batsmen, with all of them joining the party. However, there was another aspect that stood out in the first innings - fielding of Punjab Kings.

One thing that has been quite intriguing in the second phase of the tournament so far has been the performances of West Indies' players, who are coming to UAE on the back of playing CPL 2021. After impressive outings for Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell, there were two more Caribbean stars in action. While Evin Lewis certainly rose to the occasion with his blistering 36-run knock, his compatriot Fabian Allen also produced a moment of magic.

Fabian Allen continues Punjab's brilliant fielding display

It was the 12th over of the innings and Rajasthan Royals were getting set to post a huge total. Arshdeep Singh was bowling and Liam Livingstone was looking to play aggressively, trying to put pressure on the youngster. Having already smashed a boundary and a six in the over, the right-handed batsman tried to play another slog on the final ball.

Livingstone timed the ball quite well and looked like the ball would go for a six at deep mid-wicket region. However, it was not to be because one of the best fielders in the tournament in form of Fabian Allen was guarding the boundary. The PBKS all-rounder flew in the air and took a brilliant catch, while diving towards his right.

Following the brilliance of Allen, Livingstone's onslaught ended on 25 runs off 17 deliveries as RR suffered a major blow. They did recover later on and eventually went on to post a competitive total of 185 in the 20 overs.
