Team India joined Afghanistan as the first two teams to qualify for the Asia Cup 2022 Super Fours after defeating Hong Kong on Wednesday. During the match, In dian opener KL Rahul smashed Hong Kong bowler Haroon Arshad for a six on fans' demand.
The incident took place in the third over, which was bowled by Haroon Arshad. After conceding just five runs in his first over, Haroon conceded a six on the first delivery of his second over from Rohit Sharma, who took a single on the third delivery and gave KL Rahul strike. Haroon then bowled two back-to-back no balls by overstepping and bowling out of the line of the pitch.
The crowd reacted to the Hong Kong bowler's mistake and asked KL Rahul to smash a six on the free-hit. Rahul waited for his chance and smashed the ball all the way for six to entertain the fans.

Indian vice-captain KL Rahul scored 36 runs with a below-par strike-rate considering his stature. However, the Indian fans in the stadium demanded Rahul to hit a six on a free-hit in the third over and the batsman responded with a maximum.
India will face the winner from the Pakistan and Hong Kong clash in their first Super Fours clash on September 4 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
