Tennis stars have several fans across the globe, and nobody likes to miss out on any opportunity of taking selfies and autographs from their favourite heroes. Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is no exception and holds a fan base of more than millions across the globe. The young tennis sensation rose to popularity after being in excellent form in the 2022 season, when the world saw him becoming the youngest World No.1 in the history.
Always surrounded by fans, the tennis sensation was recently seemingly harassed by fans for photographs and autographs as he stepped out of his car. Alcaraz, who is currently in his home for the Barcelona Open 2023 was recently troubled by a female fan for a selfie. In a recent video that has been doing rounds on social media, a woman could be seen getting really close to the Spaniard and asking for a selfie when the teenager was trying to retrieve his kit from his car.

Carlos’ supporters have responded strongly to the video saying that the fans should know their boundaries and respect athletes' personal space. Some also said that fans should wait for autographs and selfies after matches and practice sessions and should be left alone the other times. One user wrote, “Some fans need to stop being so entitled and expect overworked professional athletes - especially literal teenagers - to be available for them at any given time and place. Also, a little courtesy goes a long way…”

The tennis star who is currently ranked World No. 2 is just a step away from defending his Barcelona title. On Sunday, he will be seen against World No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final.
