Series of earthquakes in Turkey has jolted not just the middle east nation but even several other parts with the tragic loss of lives and property. Amid this, one of the football club Besiktas and its fans extended support in their recent match which was played on Sunday (February 26) against Antalyaspor in Turkish Super Lig game.

The match show Besiktas fans throw thousands and thousands of stuffed toys on the playing field to donate to children affected by the earthquake in Turkey and nearby countries. The game was thus halted for more than four minutes as fans threw toys on the field in the middle of the game.

The club also opened up on this gesture of the fans as they wrote, “Our fans threw scarves, berets and plush toys on the ground of Vodafone Park to be given as a gift to the children in the earthquake region to cheer them up,” in a statement.

Notably, the series of earthquake has reported death toll of more than 50,000. One of the former Chelsea footballer Christian Atsu was also the victims of the earthquake after his body was found in the earthquake rubble.
