The marquee India - Pakistan fixture delivered all the excitement and exhilaration it had promised as the Men in Blue chased down the total of 148 with five balls to spare and five wickets in hand. The chief architect of the victory was Hardik Pandya as he scored 33 runs off just 17 balls along with four fours and one six.
In the final over, on the fourth ball, Pandya hit his only six to clinch the fixture for India. However, the Gujarat Titans captain's gesture after the third ball of the over has gone viral. India needed six runs to win from the last four balls where Hardik played a dot ball against Mohammad Nawaz.
Hardik motioned toward Dinesh Karthik, indicating that he has the situation under control. The reaction has now gone viral on social media. It is incredible as after he made the gesture, he smashed the winning six on the very next ball.

After the match, Pandya was extremely happy with the performance as he talked about his efforts in both batting and bowling. He said, “In bowling, it's important to assess the situations and use your weapons. For me, bowling short and the hard lengths have been my strengths. It's about using them well and asking the right questions to make the batters commit a mistake. In a chase like this, you always plan over-by-over.”
